Benjamin Sinclair rubbed his temples, not believing that the servants at home would be so unruly as to bully Renee Anderson. He wearily asked, following her words, "What's wrong? Is there something you want to tell your uncle? We'll become a family sooner or later, is there really a need to be so indirect with me?"
"Uncle Sinclair..." Renee looked moved, tears rolling down. She wiped them away and immediately told Benjamin about the call she had just received at home, leaving nothing out.
Of course, she wasn't foolish enough to tell Benjamin that she had previously hired a reporter to secretly photograph Baron Lawrence.
Benjamin's brow furrowed deeper from initial surprise, and his expression grew more somber. Finally, suppressing his anger, he said to her, "I understand. Go back to your room and rest. I'll give Adam Sinclair a call."
Like Austin Harper, he believed Adam had approached Baron Lawrence, causing him to target the Anderson Family.
That's why he was so angry.
