Scott Harris isn't an idiot. He's not foolish enough to really believe that his bonus was deducted just because he opened the car door with his left hand—something even a three-year-old wouldn't buy.
His bonus was deducted because he accidentally interrupted the Lord's affair.
Although he lost a month's bonus, Scott Harris was still in a good mood. After all, spending a month's bonus to witness the grand scene of the Lord being bitten by the Young Madam was totally worth it.
