Enna Clark's heart skipped a beat; she already guessed who it was.
She didn't show it on her face, but asked, "Who is it?"
The policewoman, like a cat that smelled something fishy, brightened her eyes again, and her tone unconsciously became a bit more forceful, "It's your company's Deputy Minister of Quality Inspection. He didn't come to work today. Ms. Clark, didn't you know?"
"Should I have known?"
"You are the company's representative. Shouldn't you know about such things?" the policewoman retorted.
Enna said calmly, "You said I'm the company's representative. The company is so large, with more than 30 employees. As a representative, do I need to know every single person, who comes to work, and who doesn't?"
"But he's not just an ordinary employee!" the policewoman insisted.
