Baron Lawrence had already associated her with the word "trouble." He raised an eyebrow, his handsome face cold and arrogant, "What do you want with me?"
Kendall Lynch repeated her words from earlier, with a tone of questioning and confusion, stubbornly demanding an explanation from him, "So I don't understand, why did you choose her and not me? We are more suitable, aren't we?"
Baron Lawrence patiently listened to her, his gaze cold, and interrupted her, "Who told you we were suitable?"
Kendall Lynch said defiantly, "Isn't it obvious? Anyone would say so. I am more suitable for you! Besides, I believe I could be a better Mrs. Lawrence than she could. Other than comparable family background, she doesn't match up to me in any way."
She was very confident about this.
Baron Lawrence's gaze grew colder, looking at her as if she were a bothersome fly, filled with disgust, "There's nothing about you that matches up to her!"
