Irvin Sharman's eyes narrowed.
He turned to Sophie Kenith, who was cooking in the kitchen, and said, "There's a bit of business with the company, I need to step out for a while. Are you okay with that?"
Sophie had cried today and spoken her heart out, feeling exceptionally relaxed.
She nodded: "I'm fine."
Only then did Irvin leave.
Just as he reached the entrance, he could see from a distance a squalid man standing there, rubbing his hands in his pockets.
It wasn't Jacob.
Irvin breathed a sigh of relief.
He approached the entrance and inquired, "Are you Sophie's boyfriend?"
The squalid man chuckled, "No, not really, it's just that... I heard Sophie has a son, and I might be the daddy, so I've come to claim paternity."
Irvin: ??
Irvin immediately understood. This man was the one who had forced himself on Sophie back then!!
