Irvin Sharman was slightly startled.
His first reaction was that Sophie Kenith hadn't left yet.
He finally caught her in the act.
Irvin Sharman smiled as he strolled around the room, but he didn't see anyone. Only then did he return to the kitchen with confusion, turned off the stove, and dished out the soup.
Perhaps Sophie had timed it perfectly, otherwise the soup looked just right.
Without giving it much thought, he finished his dinner, washed the dishes, and before heading upstairs, he saw the once listless fish in the bathtub had become lively again, which greatly lifted his spirits.
He went upstairs and first went to work in his study.

Sophie Kenith woke up with a start; it was already dark outside.
She was dazed at first, then it dawned on her where she was.
She jumped out of bed in shock, her eyes wide open.
It was all over, all over!!
How could she have fallen asleep!!
And looking at the time, it was already 8 PM!!
CEO Sharman must have come home.
