Maxwell Hughes raised his eyebrows, his gaze landing on the woman beside him.
She looked somewhat familiar; it was the live stream host, Vivi.
His eyes suddenly turned cold.
Anna Louise didn't notice the change in his emotions and continued, "Vivi is my sister. She's young and foolish and did something wrong, so Daisy Jade had her live stream channel blocked. Maxwell, it's normal for girls to have verbal disputes occasionally. Look at how scared Vivi is now."
"Besides, we're all friends here, so for my sake, could you let this one slide for Vivi?"
"Maxwell, I'll drink first, as an apology on Vivi's behalf!"
With that, she picked up her glass of red wine and downed it in one gulp.
The spicy wine slid down her throat into her stomach. After finishing her drink, Anna Louise looked towards Maxwell Hughes.
Men, after all, care about their pride.
She, a woman, had humbled herself and said as much; any man would let it go under those circumstances.
