That evening, Jane Sampson did not sleep well.
In her dream, Jane suddenly felt the ground shake, and she struggled, using all her strength, to barely open her eyes.
To her surprise, she found herself back to the night when she was trapped under the ruins after the earthquake.
The pain on her hand felt so real, and the blood dripping from James Black onto her face was still so warm, so salty.
"It hurts... James, it hurts..."
Jane struggled in agony, trying to pull out her hand to touch James's face, "James, don't die, you have to be okay, you must be okay."
"Jane, wake up."
James was startled awake by Jane calling his name and saying it hurts.
He turned on the bedhead lamp, and when he turned his head, he saw Jane in her sleep, her eyebrows tightly furrowed and her face full of tears.
Her lips were trembling slightly, as if she was saying something.
James leaned closer and heard her speaking.
"James, it hurts."
