After speaking, Jane Sampson laughed triumphantly, hugged the puppy, broke free from James Black's grip, giggled, and ran out of the room grabbing her coat.
Jane Sampson's laughter on the way down the building was as crisp as a lark, making the mansion particularly lively.
Old Master Black downstairs found it hard not to hear it.
"Little lass, what happened that made you so happy?" Old Master Black called out to Jane Sampson who came downstairs, "Come over and have some red bean soup, Aunt just cooked it."
"Is there anything else? I'm so hungry." Jane Sampson put the puppy on the ground level, walked towards Old Master Black, picked up the bowl of red bean soup already warm on the tabletop, drank two big gulps, and patted her belly, "I didn't have breakfast this morning, slept one sleep until now, woke up hungry."
