Old Master Black got up and went upstairs, leaving James Black alone to sit there and think it through himself.
Upstairs, Clarke Miller crouched on the ground playing happily with the Great General's son; his sister stood by his side, just standing there watching, not participating in the interaction with the puppy in the game.
"Old Sir." Aunt called out to Old Master Black once she saw him come upstairs.
Amelia Miller tugged at her brother's clothes, then turned around, looking at Old Master Black, a bit at a loss.
"Should I go downstairs and pour a cup of tea for Mr. Black?" Aunt asked tentatively.
Old Master Black waved his hand, "Let him figure it out on his own downstairs."
"Old Sir, you should understand Mr. Black. In the past, when the young miss had her accident, Mr. Black was still a child. You lost your daughter, he lost his mother. The pain is the same for both of you, but, Old Master Black, you and Mr. Black are not the same."
