Jane Sampson found it strange, forcing herself to move her sore legs off the bed. She walked awkwardly to the study and glanced at the doorway.
The person inside was sitting upright, engrossed in a book, as if the content was particularly captivating, enjoying it immensely.
But upon closer inspection of the book's cover, he was just reading "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."
"James Black!" Jane Sampson called to him ominously from the doorway, asking, "Is 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' good?"
"Not bad." The person inside replied without lifting his eyelids.
"Is 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' as good as me?" Jane Sampson stomped her foot in frustration, causing the soreness in her calves and thighs to nearly make her lose her balance.
Hmph! So infuriating!
"My legs are sore, come out and give me a massage." Jane Sampson decided not to beat around the bush with James Black and directly demanded, "Hurry up, I'm about to fall over."
