Jane Sampson had already reached the study doorway when James Black called her back. She stood there, thought for a moment, and said, "You're right about that."
Then, with peace of mind, she sat back down, thinking to herself that if he hadn't eaten, there would still be time to cook something for him when he returned.
However, knowing Peter Gingery's nature, he probably wouldn't let himself go hungry.
James Black indeed knew Peter Gingery well. After getting off the train, Peter and several teammates went near the train station for a big meal and then stopped by the shop next door to buy some stuff before returning to the guard team.
This mission was not difficult for them. If it weren't for the long distance, they wouldn't need the whole day. Today, their outing was almost just like a break.
Returning to the guard team, after finishing what they needed to do, Peter found there was still time, so he grabbed some snacks and went to find James Black and Jane Sampson.
