James Black stood next to Jane Sampson and looked down at Ostrich Jane, once again tugging her quilt away.
"Get up," he said.
How come you weren't this cowardly when ordering takeaway?
Now you're so scared you won't even come out from under the quilt.
Jane Sampson actually shut her eyes and pretended to be asleep, unmoving. James Black watched her act, which was so convincing he almost couldn't hold back his laughter.
"Pretending to sleep won't work." James Black reached out and dragged her straight out of the bed, asking, "You're still taking medicine. Do you remember what the doctor told you?"
Without opening her eyes, Jane Sampson responded right away, "No fried food, no junk food."
Seeing that pretending to sleep wasn't working, Jane Sampson quietly opened her eyes to sneak a glance at James Black. Seeing his face as dark as ink, she immediately shut her eyes again.
