Aldana Candi stood in place, looking up at this room, her feelings somewhat complex.
"He's been living here these days," Angela Summer said to her, "To you, this place is not good. But to him, it's the only place where he can be close to you."
Aldana Candi lowered her head and said nothing.
This room was where Philip Shaw had once held her captive. She once thought she would be locked here for a lifetime.
She reached out, pushed open the familiar door, and walked in slowly.
The curtains were drawn thickly, and the air was filled with the odor of medicine, evoking a bitter feeling.
As she walked in, she saw Philip Shaw lying on the bed. In the dim and vague light, she noticed all his hair had turned white. It might have been because he hadn't gone out for a haircut, so now his hair had grown long, softly scattered over his forehead and pillow, making his features seem softer and more handsome.
