The maid glanced at her expression and hesitantly nodded.
"Do you have the key?" Aldana Candi said, "I want to go in and take a look."
The maid slowly shook her head.
"What if something happened to him?" Aldana Candi's voice turned sharp, "He's been inside for a whole day and night, aren't you worried?"
The maid hesitated, then said in a small voice, "Before Miss Candi came, the master rarely went out."
In other words, Philip Shaw staying inside was the usual state.
Aldana Candi looked at her, bit her lip, and stared at the crimson door in front of her, never realizing how thin yet heavy the distance between people could be.
"I just want to go in and see him, is it not allowed?" Her voice grew hoarse, "I'm afraid something happened to him..."
Since she's been here these past few days, Philip Shaw came over every evening, but last night he hadn't come at all.
"Aren't you here to serve him? If something happens to your master, aren't you worried?"
