In the dining room, Aldana Candi was eating breakfast with her head lowered just like usual. Steven Balance always ate with refinement; his breakfast was varied, and whatever Steven liked, the chef would make for him, offering him a selection as plentiful as a buffet.
Aldana Candi served herself a bowl of millet porridge and quietly ate. After a while, Steven Balance arrived with Liam Summer, chatting and laughing, and the two sat across from her.
Steven Balance was a carnivore, even early in the morning he needed to eat steak. As soon as he sat down, a steak cooked to medium rare was placed before him. He cut the steak absentmindedly, while occasionally glancing at Aldana Candi who sat quietly across from him.
Liam Summer noticed his subtle actions and gave him a few threatening looks, hinting that he should be more restrained, focus on his meal, and not provoke Aldana Candi.
