Norris Moore lowered her head, raised her hand to cover her mouth, and let out a barely suppressed sob from her throat. She shook her head and hugged Aldana Candi's legs, lying on her knees, and cried out loud.
"Why..." she only felt it was unfair, "Why would God treat you this way? Aldana, who would have the heart to treat you like this? I don't understand." She bit her lip tightly, and just thinking that Aldana would have to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair made her heart feel like it was tearing apart.
Why is it that everyone Aldana encounters has to hurt her? Why can they so recklessly harm such a gentle person? She couldn't fathom.
Listening to Norris Moore's cries, Aldana Candi's heart also felt a slight pang. She didn't want Norris to know about these things, didn't want her heartbroken for her, nor did she want to cause her any trouble.
