Aldana Candi went downstairs to pack a meal of wontons.
The rain was pattering down, hitting the umbrella and making a crisp sound.
She held the umbrella and went to the wonton shop across the street to order a bowl of small wontons.
While waiting for the wontons to cook, she stood at the door, looking up at the gray sky.
"Miss, it's been a long time since you came by."
The shopkeeper, a kind middle-aged man, looked up and smiled at her while cooking the wontons, greeting her.
Aldana Candi paused for a moment, then smiled and asked, "You still remember me?"
"A pretty girl like you, who wouldn't remember at first glance."
Aldana Candi smiled and turned her head to look at her reflection in the glass window.
Pretty?
Actually, she didn't have a particular impression of her appearance.
After all, there was someone in this world who looked exactly like her, and she never received any special treatment because of this face; instead, the most it brought her was suffering.
