A black unmarked car was parked at the entrance. The man guarding the door saw them coming and respectfully opened the door, inviting them into the car.
Trenton Smith got in first and then allowed Norris Moore to lean against him.
She looked terrified, her body cold and trembling. It was clear she couldn't be left alone in the room, given her tendency to overthink; who knows what she might do.
Norris clung to his arm, looking up at the man's usual calm expression. Her cold fingers were wrapped in his warm palm. She didn't understand why this person could be so calm in such a critical moment.
Wasn't he afraid?
Norris sniffed and asked quietly, "Will he kill you?"
Trenton lowered his head to glance at her, "Didn't he say he was inviting us for breakfast?"
How could he joke at a time like this?
Norris pinched his finger slightly and muttered, "That person has a very peculiar character, and he's insidious. It was him who hypnotized me behind Charles Green's back."
