Norris received a call from Trenton saying there was a gathering tonight and he might get home late, so she shouldn't wait for him and should have dinner early.
Norris didn't ask much, just acknowledged it, instructed the cook to prepare a single-portion dinner, and after some thought, asked her to make some hangover soup too.
At around ten o'clock at night, Trenton arrived outside, driven by someone. Norris handed the baby in her arms to the maid, put on her slippers, and got off the couch to greet him at the door.
As expected, Trenton was drunk.
He was helped out of the car.
His steps were slightly unsteady, yet his posture remained straight. Clad in a long black coat, he exuded a refined aura in the quiet of the night.
This man, even when drunk, carried himself so elegantly.
Norris walked over to support him by the arm and said to the driver, "Go park the car in the garage. I'll handle it from here."
As she spoke, Norris felt Trenton glance down at her.
