The drizzle continued to fall sporadically, and although the air carried a faint fishy smell, the cool and clarity unique to the post-rain mountain air gave Keira Leaf's heart a few moments of peace.
Knowing that Ronald Loman still had to give orders, Keira Leaf no longer lingered with him. Instead, she asked him the approximate location where Joshua Sulliven had fallen off the mountain cliff and began her search along the mountain road.
Annie Taylor glanced at Ronald Loman and said nothing more, then withdrew her gaze, saying, "I don't feel safe with Felicity alone, I'll go accompany her."
After taking just two steps, Ronald Loman reached out to hold her wrist, and said in a low voice, "Be careful."
Annie Taylor glanced at the black ash on his cheeks, nodded gently, and went after Keira Leaf.
Immediately, Ronald Loman dispatched two soldiers to follow them, to prevent any accidents.
"Joshua Sulliven!"
