Aidan Lucas lowered his head slightly, hiding the ambiguous light in his eyes, "I just told Mother-in-law that if Father-in-law really liked those girls, he could have just picked any one from the over twenty available and married her when Mother-in-law left. Since Father-in-law didn't do that, and instead ran to M Country to plead with Mother-in-law for years, it shows that the only person in Father-in-law's heart will always be Mother-in-law."
The Duke, hearing this, showed a look of approval.
With a smile on his face, he patted Aidan Lucas's shoulder, "Exactly, that's the logic. You little rascal, I didn't realize you were so good at sweet-talking girls."
"Father-in-law flatters me, this isn't sweet-talking, I'm just stating facts."
Saying so, Duke Redington was even happier.
He patted Aidan Lucas's shoulder again and had another drink with him.
After the Duke left, Lily came over and whispered, "What you said earlier, it was all to fool Daddy, right?"
