In Theodore Lucas's view, Tara Hammond's actions were understandable and forgivable.
She sought out another woman to be a surrogate simply because she loved him too much and wanted to keep him.
She sent the deranged woman away only to ensure this secret was buried forever.
From Theodore's perspective, Tara letting the woman live and merely sending her off to the asylum was an act of mercy.
Even if Tara had killed her outright, it wouldn't have been a big deal.
