"Wait a moment..."
Just as Lily and the others were about to get in the car, a voice suddenly came from behind them.
"Lily Redington, hold on!" Nolan Lucas had somehow caught up with them.
His face didn't look too good, the same narrow, sharp eyes characteristic of Aidan Lucas were shadowed with black circles—it was obvious he didn't sleep well last night.
"Lily Redington, where is Tania Scott? I went to the medical center, and the people there told me she'd been discharged. Did you take her away?"
Nolan Lucas's tone was filled with anxiety and unease.
Back when Tania Scott had been clinging to him every day, he never found her presence important.
But now, with her entirely vanished, he felt an increasingly unsettling sense of loss.
Nolan Lucas kept telling himself it was because he was worried about the child in Tania Scott's belly; after all, it was his son.
