"Aidan... you're finally back..."
Seeing Mr. Lucas, Emily Taylor immediately stood up.
She was still holding an ice towel, but deliberately refrained from applying it to her face so that Aidan would see how swollen it was.
Thus, the once well-maintained face now appeared uneven—one side higher than the other.
The side of her face that Sylvia Scott slapped was alarmingly red and swollen.
"Aidan..." Emily said, aggrieved, stepping forward to grab Mr. Lucas's hand. "Look, Mom's face is so swollen. That person hit me without any restraint. You have to help me seek justice."
Mr. Lucas frowned. "Why is it so swollen? Keep applying the towel for a while."
As he spoke, he took the ice towel from Emily's hand.
Mr. Lucas guided her to sit down and personally applied the towel to her face.
"Sigh, I've been applying it for a while, but the swelling won't go down. Aidan, Mom suffered a lot this time. You can't let the person who bullied me get away with it."
