Cheryl Thompson's face turned an iron blue, and she could only glare at her with gritted teeth, reluctantly stomping her foot before turning away.
The awkward retreat made Victoria Gibson burst into laughter.
"Mr. Rivers, so we..." The two security guards looked at Cheryl's abrupt departure, fearfully turning their gaze to Jeremy Rivers.
"You two can leave as well. Today's incident has nothing to do with you, just pretend it never happened," Jeremy Rivers gestured for them to leave.
The two security guards, realizing they were not implicated, quickly left.
The corridor was now empty.
Jeremy Rivers turned around, initially expecting to see a face relieved post-crisis, but instead, his peripheral vision caught her smiling mouth, causing his brows to knit into a knot.
He stepped up to her.
"Almost got into big trouble, and you still have the mood to laugh?"
