"Emma, I'm pregnant. What should I do..." Yasmin Vernon's choked voice came through the telephone.
It was just a simple sentence, yet it left Emma Aiden stunned!
Whatever else she said afterward, Emma couldn't hear it; the words kept echoing in her ears. After a long time, she snapped back to reality, quickly stuffed her Cell Phone into her Carry-on Bag, and headed out of the Villa.
"Emma, you just got back, where are you going?" Ella Jackson came out from the Kitchen with freshly cut fruit, and quickly reached out to stop Emma as she hurried out.
"What's happened to you? Why do you look so pale?"
"Mom, it's not my problem, it's Yasmin's. I need to go over now, I'll explain when I get back." Emma hugged Ella, gave her a kiss on the Face, and ran out the Door.
She quickly got into the Car and headed to Yasmin Vernon's house.
By the time she arrived, Yasmin was the only one home, her frail Body curled up on the sofa in the Living Room, holding her Knees, silently shedding tears.
