Xiao Moli took a step forward with his long legs, bending down to reach for the shadow on the ground again.
The shadow, petite and nimble, managed to dodge once more before being grabbed off the ground by Xiao Moli in one swift motion.
After kicking twice in the air and realizing escape was futile, it yelled loudly.
"Mommy, help! Your husband is trying to kill your son!"
An Ziqi, groggy in her sleep, was startled awake by Ningning's cry for help and sat up in alarm, shouting nervously, "Xiao Moli."
She fumbled to switch on the bedside lamp.
Looking up, she saw Xiao Moli holding Xiao Yining in his hand, with Xiao Yining's little legs still kicking fiercely in the air.
An Ziqi thought she was dreaming, closed her eyes, and lay back down.
Xiao Yining pouted, "Mommy, are you going to let your son die without helping?"
An Ziqi quickly opened her eyes again, gave it a thought, then raised her hand to pinch Xiao Moli, "Does it hurt?"
