This space, how it was born, Duskull did not know clearly, anyway it had existed since a very, very long time ago, because inside there was an enormous amount of ghost-type energy, so in the space had gathered almost all of the ghost-type Pokémon from the surrounding sea regions.
In the past, the Pokémon's entering and leaving of the space was not as complicated as it is now, they could freely come in and go out, as long as they triggered that space point then at will they could enter and go out.
The space point was at a distance from the human towns, very few people ever came here, even if there were people who inadvertently passed by here, the ghost-type Pokémon could secretly confuse them to leave, especially Misdreavus and Mismagius, who were skilled at illusions, driving away humans was extremely easy.
Therefore the space had never been discovered by humans, it was a paradise belonging solely to the ghost-type Pokémon.
Duskull was born inside this space, it asked its own parents, how did this space come to be, its parents told it:
Legend has it that a very, very long time ago, there was on the sea a ghost ship, the master of the ship was an incomparably powerful Spiritomb, it led its own crew to fight in all directions on the sea, wherever it passed enemies would be terrified at the mere sound of its name, therefore on the sea it accumulated an illustrious reputation.
But things all have two sides.
That captain was extremely cruel, burning, killing, looting, doing all manner of evil, and therefore offended many, many people, its enemies each and every one wanted its life.
The captain, although powerful, was not invincible, one day its enemies found it and struck it down with grievous injuries.
Although finally the crew carried the captain and successfully escaped, yet the captain was too gravely wounded, in the end still did not recover and died.
So the crew found a hidden place to bury the captain down, then all dispersed, each going their own way, because the captain had offended too many people, now without its protection, if they did not scatter, sooner or later they would be hunted down.
But the story did not end with the captain's death.
After the captain died, its corpse emitted too much ghost-type energy, the mighty power influenced the surrounding space, hiding the captain's resting place within an illusory space.
Duskull's mother told it, the space where they lived was precisely the captain's resting place.
In order to commemorate the captain, the ghost-type Pokémon who lived here whenever they encountered shipwrecks in the sea, they would salvage them out, then bring them back into the space.
Because the ghost ship of the captain originally was a shipwreck, everyone all said, actually the captain was formed from the souls of the dead crew and passengers of that shipwreck.
Because the legend of Spiritomb was precisely that it was a Pokémon generated from the gathering of one hundred and eight souls.
Later in the space the number of salvaged shipwrecks became more and more, and it also became the ship's graveyard that Yuga saw when he came in.
Duskull did not know whether the captain's story was true or not, but in the very center of the space indeed there was enshrined by the ghost-type Pokémon one object, that object indeed was deeply connected with the space, even to a very great extent could influence the space.
That object was an Odd keystone of Spiritomb.
The Odd keystone was originally enshrined inside a stone temple at the center of the space, speaking of it as a stone temple, but it was just several big rocks casually built together, who the builder was already could not be verified, but the ghost-type Pokémon nevertheless extremely respected the Odd keystone, treating it as if treating a deity and belief.
Duskull, having seen the Odd keystone, could perceive that inside the Odd keystone there was already no life, but the faintly revealed powerful force from the Odd keystone made it shudder with fear, therefore Duskull often would think:
Perhaps the captain that mother spoke of really did exist!
However one day the Odd keystone disappeared, the ghost-type Pokémon searched everywhere but still did not find it, until William appeared carrying the Odd keystone inside the space.
The ghost-type Pokémon wanted to take back the Odd keystone, but the Odd keystone exerted a very strong suppressive power on them, in the end not only did they not take back the Odd keystone, they also let William completely occupy the space.
The ownership of the space changed hands, the powerful Pokémon all escaped, while the weak Pokémon were all captured by William and locked up here, becoming his experimental subjects, some even under his torment died.
Ordinary things are very difficult to confine ghost-type Pokémon, but William did not know from where he obtained many glass covers, and any ghost-type Pokémon that was confined inside would involuntarily fall into slumber.
Speaking of this, Duskull fiercely glared at the unconscious William.
Yuga walked to the front of the glass cover and knocked on it with his hand. Although he could not recognize what material it was made of, nor what level of technology was involved, just by looking at it, it should not be cheap.
Here there are so many of these glass covers, which should require not a small amount of money, so where did William obtain them? It could not be that the glass covers were manufactured by himself, right? If he had this technology, he would not have ended up in the miserable state he was now.
However, this doubt was answered by Natu.
Before Natu escaped, one day it saw William bring back a batch of gold, silver, and antiques. Later, after he went out once, when he came back, the gold, silver, and antiques were gone, and instead, at home there appeared a batch of glass covers.
It should be exactly the batch before his eyes.
At that time, Natu's entire thoughts were focused on how to run away, so it did not pay attention to this matter, until today when it recalled it.
After listening to Natu's words, Duskull became even angrier, because he guessed the origin of those gold, silver, and antiques.
The ghost-type Pokémon who once lived here would often salvage sunken ships and bring them back. These sunken ships were sometimes from ancient times, sometimes from modern times, and sometimes, when lucky, they could discover some treasures in ancient sunken ships, for example gold, silver, and antiques.
The ghost-types did not love treasures, so they gathered them and hid them all in one place. Now, without even thinking, it was obvious that those treasures had all fallen into William's hands.
Although ghost-types did not value treasures, when Duskull thought that those treasures had been used by William, a surge of anger suddenly rose.
Fortunately, the treasures were not many, otherwise William would truly have gained a huge bargain!
However, what Yuga cared about most was still that Odd keystone in Duskull's mouth.
Yuga had not sensed any special energy fluctuations on William's body, but to be safe, he said to Chimecho: "Chimecho, see whether that Odd keystone is on his body or not!"
"Chimecho~"
Chimecho responded with a sound, and its psychic power quickly swept across William's body, but after a while, it shook its head indicating that it had not found it.
Truly not there? Yuga furrowed his brows and fell into deep thought: where was that Odd keystone hidden?
According to Duskull's words, William relied on the Odd keystone to freely enter and exit the space. He had only just come out of the space earlier, so logically the Odd keystone should indeed be carried on his body.
Thinking for a while without any clues, Yuga finally decided still to question the person involved. Although he might be unwilling to cooperate, there were many means to make him open his mouth.
Yuga released Lapras, letting Lapras blow cold air at William. William's body had already been soaked through because of falling into water, and now with the cold air blowing, before long he was shivering and trembling and woke up.
Seeing Yuga, he trembled while cursing loudly. When Yuga asked: "Where did you hide that Odd keystone?"
Hearing this, William's pupils shrank, the voice of cursing abruptly stopped, and then he viciously looked toward the not-far Duskull: it must have been it that said it!
Because he was too angry, William had already ignored the matter of how Yuga was communicating with Pokémon.
After glaring at Duskull, William looked again at Yuga, but did not say a single word. The Odd keystone was his greatest secret. With the Odd keystone, he could have such a space that belonged solely to himself. How could he possibly tell Yuga the whereabouts of the Odd keystone!
William's refusal to speak was within expectations. Yuga did not press further, but instead called out: "Gengar!"
"Gengar~"
A burst of black mist pervaded, and Gengar appeared making mischievous poses, its gaze toward William filled with malice. William could not help but shiver, and when he looked at Gengar again, in his eyes there was a bit more fear.
"You heard our conversation just now, right? I will leave it to you!" Yuga said to Gengar.
"Gengar… geng ge luo geng!"
Gengar patted its… belly, expressing that it was on me! It had originally intended to pat its chest, but unfortunately its body was too round, and its arms too short, so it could only change to patting its belly.
The chubby belly, when patted, was very comical.
Only to see Gengar's figure flicker, in an instant it had come to William's front, and pressed face to face with William. The mischievous smile on its face suddenly disappeared, and its gaze instantly locked with William's.
Before William had time to react, the gleam of spirit in his eyes vanished.
Hypnosis!
After Gengar stepped aside, Yuga once again looked at William and asked: "Now can you answer my question?"
"Yes."
William, with a blank expression, spoke in a dazed and stupefied manner. Under the control of Gengar, he obeyed Yuga's every command without question.
"Where is the Odd Keystone?"
"In the sea."
"Where did you get the Odd Keystone from?"
"Picked it up."
...
Just like that, with one question and one answer, Yuga very quickly asked clearly the things that he wanted to know.
The Odd Keystone was indeed something William picked up unintentionally. At that time, when he was researching ability transplantation, because he had not been able to find a breakthrough point for a long time, he went for a walk along the seaside, and in the gravel he discovered the Odd Keystone.
As a researcher who studied Pokémon, of course he could not possibly fail to recognize the Odd Keystone of Spiritomb, and so he picked it up and brought it home.
At first, he even thought that there was a living Spiritomb inhabiting the Odd Keystone, but later he discovered that the Spiritomb inside the Odd Keystone had already died, disappeared.
However, after a round of research, he discovered the special properties of the Odd Keystone, and following the faint guidance that came from the Odd Keystone, he found this space.
After he understood the situation of this space, he instantly made the decision to claim this place as his own, and thus there was the later experience of the Ghost-type Pokémon suffering disaster.
After interrogating William, Yuga brought him once again out of the space.
William valued the Odd Keystone very highly, so he never carried the Odd Keystone on his person. According to his directions, Yuga rode on Lapras and swam for a distance eastward from the location of the space, and saw a not-very-large reef.
According to William, the Odd Keystone was just below.
Yuga transferred onto the reef, then was about to have Lapras dive down to search for the Odd Keystone, when suddenly the seawater beneath the reef churned violently, and immediately after, an ugly head emerged.
It was a Huntail.
When it saw William beside Yuga, its face revealed an expression of joy, and its mouth opened wide, but after holding open for quite a long time without seeing any response from William, it flew into a rage, and launched a Brine attack toward William.
Lapras promptly used Ice Beam to freeze the Brine into an ice block that fell into the sea. Seeing this, Huntail angrily changed its attack target to Lapras.
...
[ Huntail ]
Type: Water
Ability: Swift Swim
Gender: Male
Potential: Blue
Level: 61
Moves: Whirlpool, Astonish, Ice Fang, Brine, Sucker Punch, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Bounce, Water Pulse, Crunch.
...
Yuga was a little surprised; this was actually a pseudo-Elite level Pokémon.
After questioning William, Yuga finally learned that this Huntail was the Pokémon helping him guard the Odd Keystone.
However, the Huntail was not William's Pokémon, because he did not yet have the ability to subdue a pseudo-elite Pokémon.
The Huntail was one William had met when he went out to sea, and after obtaining the Odd Keystone, he made a deal with the Huntail.
The Huntail would help him guard the Odd Keystone, and every time he came to take the Odd Keystone, he would bring enough food for the Huntail.
However, the cooperation between both sides did not seem to be particularly solid, otherwise, the Huntail would not have immediately launched an attack on William just now when it failed to obtain food.
Yuga also learned that guarding the Odd Keystone was not only the Huntail, but also…
Just as he wanted to remind Lapras, yet another Pokémon appeared on the surface of the sea, pink and tender, it was exactly the other Pokémon that William had mentioned — Gorebyss, and at the same time it was also Huntail's mate.
In Yuga's Ecopark, there were quite a few Clamperl, the initial forms of these two Pokémon species, so he was fairly familiar with both kinds of Pokémon.

[ Gorebyss ]
Type: Water
Ability: Swift Swim
Gender: Female
Potential: Blue
Level: 62
Moves: Whirlpool, Water Sport, Agility, Draining Kiss, Water Pulse, Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Brine, Signal Beam.
...
The strength of the two Pokémon was about the same, both being not that impressive kind, so very soon they were defeated by Lapras, and even two against one could not change the result.
Lapras did not beat the two Pokémon too badly, because Yuga still needed them to hand over the Odd Keystone.
Just as Yuga had guessed, the relationship between Huntail, Gorebyss, and William was indeed not solid, and with just a threat from Lapras, these two timid fellows dove into the water, and before long Huntail came out holding the Odd Keystone in its mouth.
Yuga was not unfamiliar with the Odd Keystone, a palm-sized gray stone, with red or black lines regularly distributed upon it, looking like sealing runes.
The Odd Keystone was icy cold all over, and as soon as Yuga took it into his hands, he could sense the surging power within it. He suspected that the Spiritomb that had once dwelled in the Odd Keystone was a level 100 Pokémon, and at the very least it must have been a master-level Pokémon.
That space was indeed very likely to have been born under the influence of the power of the Odd Keystone, and in that way, the legend about the Ghost Captain was also very likely to be true.
The birth of a space was something that contained great coincidence, requiring the combination of many conditions, timing, geographical advantage, all indispensable, otherwise even if the Odd Keystone's former master truly had been a level 100 Pokémon, it would have been of no use.
But the birth of miracles often contained coincidental nature.
The Odd Keystone was obtained, the doubts were mostly clarified, and Gengar then released William from the hypnosis.
As soon as he regained consciousness, he saw Yuga toying with the Odd Keystone, and immediately roared in anger.
"The Odd Keystone! That is my thing, quickly give it back to me, give it back to me!"
Yuga said indifferently: "Now it is mine." After speaking, he casually tossed the Odd Keystone to Gengar, who grinned and hugged the Odd Keystone back into the shadow space.
William still wanted to make a fuss, but was slapped unconscious by Decidueye's wing.
Yuga planned to go back to that space once more.
But before leaving, he captured both Huntail and Gorebyss. Although both Pokémon were not impressive, belonging to the most ordinary among green potential Pokémon, bringing them back for breeding had not the slightest problem.
