Because of the birth of the new Pokémon, Yuga had been in a very good mood these past few days.
Thinking back to how the child of the Vivillon and the Volcarona had been entrusted to Robert to raise, after the birth of Charizard and Dragonite's children, Yuga once again began to consider whether he should also find a Trainer for the twins.
Originally, Yuga had been seriously thinking about this, but the moment Dragonite Mother found out about this idea, it was immediately put to rest.
Dragonite Mother could not bear to hand over her own grandchildren to be raised by someone else. As a master level Pokémon, was she not capable of teaching two children herself? Therefore, she insisted that she would personally raise her grandchildren.
Her own son, Dragonite, had been raised by Yuga. Although she had contributed some effort, overall, Dragonite had been brought up under Yuga's care. Because of this, Dragonite Mother felt, to some extent, a bit of regret in her heart.
However, when it came to her son Dragonite, Dragonite Mother was proud of him, and at the same time, she felt deep gratitude toward Yuga for cultivating Dragonite into such an outstanding Pokémon.
Now that Yuga had more Pokémon than ever, it was impossible for him to personally raise the next generation. Dragonite Mother felt that it was finally time for her to experience the joy of raising the younger generation herself, and she was confident that she would be able to nurture her grandchildren into talented individuals.
In short, Dragonite Mother told Yuga that if he dared to give her grandchildren to someone else, she would bite him to death. Yuga could only give up on this idea.
That day, after finishing lunch, Yuga was about to go out for a walk to help digest his meal, when he suddenly saw Spoink walk past him with a completely expressionless face. So, he called out to it.
"Spoink, where are you going?"
Spoink was startled, suddenly snapping back to awareness, and looked around blankly.
Seeing this, Yuga understood that it had gone absent-minded again.
Ever since returning from the Anistar Gym this time, Spoink had often been like this—spacing out, and whenever it did so, it would forget what it had been doing.
Yuga had called Olympia to ask about it, and Olympia said that this was a normal phenomenon. Spoink needed to adapt to its innate, powerful abilities. When this ability awakened rapidly, Spoink would unconsciously adjust its own power.
Spacing out was simply part of the process of its psychic foresight ability awakening and gradually synchronizing with its body.
After learning this, Yuga felt a little more relieved.
However, lately, because it was often spacing out, Spoink always had a somewhat silly look on its face. It had completely lost its former liveliness, and its overall temperament had become much more steady. This was probably a sign of mental growth.
Still, for a moment, Yuga didn't know whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. He had always hoped for Spoink to live happily.
In the past, when Spoink was mischievous, Yuga could always hear its joyful laughter. Now that Spoink had matured, its laughter had decreased as well.
In fact, it wasn't just Spoink—Pokémon like Clefable, Jynx, and Mr. Mime had all matured after evolving. Compared to before, when they would go out to play or wander whenever they felt like it, now they preferred to stay at home or in the Ecopark to help out.
Becoming more mature and less inclined to cause trouble was a good thing for Yuga, but he also felt that as the Pokémon matured, some of the joy from before had lessened.
This was probably what people call a sweet kind of melancholy.
So Yuga gently said to Spoink, "You should go out and play with your friends more often. You've been staying cooped up at home lately—be careful not to get bored to death. Wouldn't it be nice to go out for some fresh air?"
Spoink shook its head. It didn't want to go out.
Unwilling to give up, Yuga asked again, "I'm planning to go out for a walk now. Do you want to come with me?"
Hearing this, Spoink was somewhat tempted. It hesitated for a moment, then slowly nodded.
Yuga smiled and reached out his hand toward it, saying, "Alright then, let's go."
Spoink placed its small hand into Yuga's palm, ready to go out together with him.
However, at the very instant Spoink's hand touched the palm of Yuga's hand, the pink pearl on top of its head suddenly flared with an intense burst of light, almost blinding Yuga.
When Yuga's vision recovered, he saw that Spoink was already holding its pearl in its hands, its eyes vacant, while the pink pearl was projecting a field of light and shadow.
The images within the light and shadow were flickering nonstop—countless people were running, explosions were happening all over the city, and the scene was utter chaos. If the images had sound, there would surely be screaming everywhere.
This time, the vision in the light and shadow was of a city—a city already thrown into complete disorder—and it was clearly not the same place as in Spoink's last prophecy.
However, this time Yuga was finally able to identify which city it was: the central city of the Kalos region—Lumiose City!
In one corner of the image, Yuga saw Lumiose City's iconic building, Prism Tower.
The scene shifted again, and Yuga then saw the Lumiose City Gym Leader, Clemont, who was anxiously evacuating the crowd. But the situation was far too chaotic—he even lost track of his younger sister, Bonnie.
Yuga stared fixedly at the image, unwilling to miss even the smallest scrap of information within it. Just then, in the corner of the image, he caught a glimpse of someone in a uniform quickly passing by.
That uniform was all too familiar to Yuga—it was the uniform of Team Flare.
But hadn't Team Flare already been destroyed? How could they possibly be stirring up trouble again?
Yet what came next made Yuga certain that this incident was indeed related to Team Flare—because he saw Lysandre.
Although it was just a fleeting glimpse, he was one hundred percent certain that what he saw was Lysandre.
Lysandre escaping from the League's prison? Yuga's heart was shaken to its core—how could that possibly happen!
The image continued to switch rapidly, and Yuga next saw Lumiose City's iconic building, Prism Tower, collapse with a thunderous crash. At that point, the projection came to an abrupt end.
Although the image had disappeared, Yuga's emotions could not settle for a long time.
"Spoink~ Spoink~"
Did something happen? Was there another prophecy?
Still unable to fully control its own power, Spoink did not remember what had just happened. It looked at Yuga with a blank expression, but when it saw that the pearl it usually kept on top of its head was suddenly in its hands, it realized something had occurred.
Yuga nodded, then patted Spoink's head to comfort it, saying, "It's nothing serious, no need to worry."
It was not the case that touching Spoink would always trigger a prophecy—this was an extremely rare event, and up until now, it had only happened twice.
Spoink knew that things couldn't possibly be as simple as Yuga made them sound in just a few words, but it also knew that Yuga surely had his own considerations, so it did not press the matter any further.
"Spoink~ Spoink~?"
Then are we still going for our walk?
Spoink asked.
"Of course, let's go right now!"
And so, Yuga put aside his troubled thoughts and took Spoink by the hand as they went out together.
After their walk, Yuga immediately called Olympia and told her about what he had seen in the prophecy.
Olympia placed great, great importance on Spoink's prophecies. As soon as Yuga spoke, she believed him. After learning the details of the situation from Yuga, she immediately contacted the Kalos League headquarters and Lumiose City.
The Anistar Gym held a special position within the Kalos League, so the Kalos League headquarters took Olympia's words extremely seriously. Thus, after receiving her call, they immediately took corresponding action.
First, the League reinforced the armed forces in Lumiose City, and Clemont, who had originally been away training, was urgently summoned back to Lumiose City.
Next, the League headquarters further strengthened the guard over Lysandre, even sending AZ to communicate with him multiple times in order to understand his current mental state.
In the end, the League also secretly dispatched an investigation team to search for the location that appeared in Spoink's first prophecy.
The League's arrangements this time quickly yielded results.
Sure enough, the dark forces in Lumiose City had recently become much more active, and many unidentified individuals had secretly infiltrated Lumiose City.
The League struck these dark forces with strict and severe measures, but these people all seemed to be small-time figures. No connection was found between them and the scenes from the prophecy.
However, soon the League personnel discovered that multiple hidden locations in Lumiose City had been planted with bombs, which made the League even more alert.
Unfortunately, no matter how the League investigated, they could not trace the source of those bombs. Although they caught several people, they were all small underlings—just hired hands acting on orders—and even they did not know who had directed them.
This shrouded Lumiose City in an even deeper layer of mystery.
But after the League's multiple offensives, the situation in Lumiose City indeed became much more stable.
One thing was certain: the League had not found any trace of Team Flare in Lumiose City, and Lysandre's mental state was also very stable. He seemed to be enjoying his current life and had shown no abnormal behavior.
At the same time, regarding the location that appeared in Spoink's first prophecy, the League had not found it.
Logically speaking, according to the description in the projection, if that place were within the League's governing territory, it should be impossible not to find it. Yet the Kalos League stubbornly found no clues at all.
Later, Olympia told this matter to Yuga. After thinking for a moment, Yuga said, "Do you think there's a possibility… that place isn't in Kalos?"
Hearing this, Olympia was stunned for a moment, then said thoughtfully, "That is indeed possible. I will raise this with the League."
With Spoink's prophecies appearing one after another, Olympia somehow began to feel a sense of urgency in her heart. Thinking of that prophecy from a long time ago about Yuga and the disaster in Kalos, she grew more and more worried about Kalos's safety.
Yuga could see the pressure on Olympia, and at the same time sighed inwardly: the Kalos region is truly plagued by misfortunes! But there wasn't much he could do to help.
After chatting with Yuga for a while, Olympia suddenly said, "Gym Leader Shimizu, Spoink has been resting at home for some time. It is time for it to return and continue its training."
Yuga did not object. "Alright, I will send Spoink over to the Anistar Gym later."
Olympia nodded, indicating that she would be ready to receive it on her side.
In fact, Olympia had her own considerations for urging Spoink to return—she wanted to make use of Spoink's power to take the initiative and perform a divination on Kalos's current crisis.
After ending the call with Olympia, Yuga sent Spoink over.
However, before Olympia had a chance to perform the divination, on the very night Spoink returned, she and Spoink had the same dream at the same time.
In the dream, the sky above the Kalos region was shrouded in darkness, and she even saw, suspended in the air, the reflection of a city. The oppressive scene made it nearly impossible for her to breathe.
Meanwhile, beneath that reflection, two dark shadows were fighting, the battle's momentum immense—the ground was cracking, rivers were vanishing, forests were burning with raging flames—all consequences of their combat. It was simply a catastrophe.
In the dream, Olympia was like an observer. She could not intervene in the dream, only watch as the Kalos region was destroyed bit by bit.
She tried hard to see clearly what those two battling dark shadows were, but the shadows were shrouded in a mass of black mist, and no matter how she tried, she could not make out their true forms.
In a moment of heart-pounding dread, Olympia suddenly opened her eyes wide, her entire head drenched in sweat, yet the scene from the dream stubbornly refused to fade from her mind.
The scene in the dream had been too tragic, so much so that even after Olympia had been awake for quite a while, her heart still continued to beat uncontrollably fast.
At the same time, in the place where the Pokémon of the Anistar Gym were resting, Spoink also woke up at that exact same moment—its dream had been identical to Olympia's.
Because of the dream from the previous night, Olympia felt a bit fatigued and lacking in energy the next day. She didn't know whether it had been just a simple dream, or some kind of warning, or if it was connected to one of Spoink's earlier prophecies…
This made Olympia eager to conduct a divination together with Spoink, and then she heard Spoink telling her that it had a dream.
After listening to Spoink's description, Olympia was astonished to discover that the dream they had was exactly the same. This meant it could not possibly be just a simple dream—it was highly likely to be some kind of warning!
So Olympia immediately requested Spoink's help in performing a divination, and Spoink agreed without the slightest hesitation.
However, this time the divination did not go smoothly. What Olympia wanted to see was the future of the Kalos region, yet the result of the divination was a complete blur—everything was obscured, and nothing could be seen clearly.
After multiple attempts at divination yielded no results, Olympia had no choice but to give up in frustration. Instead, she focused even more on instructing Spoink, placing her hopes on Spoink becoming stronger and being able to continue giving more prophecies concerning Kalos.
Olympia did not specifically tell Yuga about this dream, so Yuga continued living his quiet little life in Verdanturf Town.
In the blink of an eye, the Gible that had been born not long ago gradually passed its infant stage and began to be active in the Yoyo Day Care.
It was a very lively and energetic child, and also very stubborn in temperament, so it often got into conflicts with other Pokémon—fighting was an even more common occurrence.
Scuffles among children were perfectly normal, so nobody intervened, and as a result, Gible gradually became the little overlord among the baby Pokémon in the Ecopark.
After it passed its baby stage, Dragonite Mother officially began training Gible. In the mornings, she would take Gible for training, and in the afternoons, she would allow Gible to go out and play—otherwise, Gible might very well cause the Yoyo Day Care to descend into even greater chaos.
Aside from matters concerning Gible, under the company's arrangements, Shaya swiftly released her new song and album, which could be said to have become an overnight sensation.
Shaya's qualities were far too outstanding—not only were her songs pleasant to listen to, but because she possessed a special ability, even without using that ability, her singing voice carried a faint soothing effect on emotions.
This made her songs even more popular.
Now, almost every street and alley was playing Shaya's new song, and even customers coming to the Day Care to buy things would unconsciously hum a few lines.
Shaya's effortless success truly made Ninetales green with envy.
