"It's your brother, Kenneth Brown, Manager Brown!" Reggie blurted out.
Carole blinked at Reggie and then gave him a shove. Unsteady, Reggie tumbled off his chair.
Carole's face hardened. "Reggie," she said angrily, "it's not April Fools' Day today! I won't be fooled by you! And this joke isn't funny at all! If you dare joke about my brother again, we're not friends anymore!"
"It's true!" Reggie scrambled up from the floor, his expression earnest. "I'm not lying to you. It really is Manager Brown. Your brother stole the formula!"
Carole shot to her feet. "Reggie Dewey!" she yelled. "Are you spouting nonsense? Believe it or not, I'll beat you up!"
Carole raised a threatening fist.
Reggie took out his phone, played a video clip, and handed it to her. "Watch it yourself! I didn't lie!"
Carole eyed the phone suspiciously. As she watched the video, the man's face made her freeze. The man in the video was her brother, her own flesh and blood.
