It was Sienna Johnson's first time giving birth, and there were many things she didn't know. Her situation was especially unique: her parents weren't with her, nor was the child's father. What worried her even more was that she was in a small village with very underdeveloped medical facilities.
If she encountered any danger during labor, she wouldn't even be able to get to a hospital in time. Giving birth here almost left her to fend for herself.
...If only I knew, I should have braved the snow and left back then...
She had come to Soilliers to avoid Adrian Desmond. She hadn't expected winter to arrive so quickly, its severe cold halting their journey.
