It was dark. Darker than Max ever thought possible. How long was he in total darkness? Max had no sense of time or direction. He was floating. Max tried to move... nothing. Like his body just would not respond. As Max looked around he did not see his hands or legs.
How long was Max out? Max had figured he would have ended up in the Hospital but that seemed not to be the case. 'I guess I died' Max thought. 'Am i gonna be judged Now?' As if waiting for Max to think about judgment a voice called out "Max Owen." In an instant Max was teleported over to a shining golden light. The golden light dimmed down and revealed a man standing in front of Max.
"Max Owen" the man said again
"Who are you?" max thought
"I am a God" The man said
Max thought about where he came from and on Earth there are alot of gods. Japan has many different gods. The USA had a few also. "I wonder what god this man is supposed to be?" Max thought.
"My name is Eesis. I am the God of Life and Death." Eesis said with a smile.
"I see." said Max "So is this were I am judged?"
"Well Max, You see here is the problem" Eesis replied "You should not have died yet."
"What!?" Max cried
"You were not supposed to die then. To be honest you were not even supposed to be there." Eesis explained "You were supposed to get off work on time and been home before the robbery occurred."
Max sat there stunned. Doubt started to creep its way into his thoughts.
"I was not supposed to be there? Would Rachel have been ok? Was my death my fault?"
Eesis sighed "Rachel would have been fine. And no the gunman was at fault. Not you."
Eesis continued "Now however I have a dilemma. Would you like to know what that is?"
Max let out a sigh "Sure since i have nothing better to do but float go ahead."
Eesis got alittle irritated by Max's reply, However he calmed down after a few minutes
"So here is the problem since you died and we were not expecting you I have a couple of choices to present you with."
Max just sat there quitely listening to Eesis. Eesis continued "I can reincarnate you. You will lose all memories and go back to Earth. And the cycle will continue. Or You can keep your memories and I can transfer your soul to another Universe."
"Hmm..." Max was thinking about the choices. On one hand he would get another shot an life but who knows if it would end up the same as last time. On the other hand max could have his soul transfered to a new Universe. "I guess I should ask a couple of questions." Max thought
"Would there be other races in the new Universe?" Max asked
Eesis thought for a second "Yes." Eesis replyed
"What races are there?" Max asked
Eesis thought for a second and replyed "Humans, Dwarves, Demi-Humans, Demons, Nephilim, High-elfs, And Vampires. You should have all the information you need to know about the races."
"Thank you. Would there be Magic?" Max asked thinking back to his childhood when he used to watch Anime.
"Yes" Eesis replyed again.
"Would I ever be able to come back to Earth?" Max asked
"Very doubtful" Eesis said " Earth is on one plane of existance. The other World you would be transfering to is on a different plane."
"How many Planes are there?" Max asked
"7" Eesis shrugged
"Hmm" Max continued "Last question since I died even though I was not supposed to can i chose my race and skill?"
Eesis thought on this question for a little bit.
"Sure why not" Eesis finally replied " To be honest I figured you would choose this option. I tell you what I will grant to your skills and you chose your race how about that?"
"My skills are gonna be good right?" Max hesitated
Eesis laughed "Yes they will be. Since I am so generious I will throw in a system also."
"System?" Max asked
"You just gotta think 'System' and it will appear. Think of it like looking at a computer screen." Eesis replyed
"System." Max thought and a window appeared in front of his eyes. Max looked at the screen. The screen was blue with white writing. It was 2 foot long by 1 foot wide. As max looked around the screen tracked with him. On the screen it said [Status|Skills|Store]
"Can you see the System? And how do i chage the screens?" Max asked Eesis
"Yes I can, though no one else will be able to. Just think Skills or Store." Eesis replyed
"Though nothing will be written since you do not have a body." Eesis said ammused "Think Close for it to close."
"Ok. I have made my decision. I would like to be a Vampire." Max said as the winodw closed
Eesis eyes sparkled as a smile appeared on his face. "Why did you choose Vampire as your race?"
"Well to be honest they seemed to be the best choice. They live the longest, They are stronger, faster, and seem to have magical capabilities." Max answered honestly
Eesis chuckled "Sure why not. Vampire it is. Do you want to be born into a high ranking house or do you care?"
Max thought about the question " Is there any difference?"
"No not really as an infant it really makes no difference, However a higher ranked household will be able to contribute more to your development." Eesis Shrugged "you could, however use the knowledge from Earth to make your family rise thru the ranks if you chose a lower ranked family."
"Ok I hve decided. I would like to be born into a lower ranked family." Max said
"Are you sure? It should not be too difficult for you however, remember the world you came from didn't have magic and the world you are going to does." Eesis said
" No worries. I will figure it out." Max said
"Ok off you go then. Good luck Max." Eesis said with a smirk
And Max was gone. His soul transfered to a different plane.
Eesis sighed " I think I will fuck with him a bit since he took up so much time."
