Chapter 59
With morning came the rain. It slams against the windows splattering as if to wake the dead. To wake Isabella. The woman who was pressed as close as possible to Zarracen. As if she meant to meld into her skin. She wishes to quiet the weather so this could last.
For morning came far too soon.
The rain of course stirs Isabella. Her pink starry eyes opening to meet Zarracen's red ones. Like always the knight falls into a lull just briefly looking at them. As if hypnotized by an unknown force.
She doesn't move. It makes Zarracen glad. She wants them to stay like this for as long as possible. Ignore the world around them. To ignore the conflict that was threatening to tear the country apart.
They couldn't ignore it. She forces herself to start receding her aura.
"Stop." The order comes firm with a hint of a plea. "They will come knocking when you do."
