After easily dealing with several "Mass production excavation types" that had broken into the base, NeiR returned to Bella's side.
After calculating, she reached a conclusion.
Radar showed that the place had already been surrounded by Nemesis's legion, and wouldn't hold much longer.
This was fundamentally a war without suspense, just over thirty survivors; once the base's location was exposed, everyone would die, no one could be spared.
NeiR actually had no concept of "life or death", because she was just an intelligent machine; if this "Alice Model" was destroyed, her consciousness could enter Illusory Light and be "forever" with her brother, which was not really a "sad" thing. But for some reason, she always felt uneasy about Bella.
In human terms, this was called "friendship".
