Chapter 355 - Oak

While the little pixie slept peacefully I cooked us a simple but delicious breakfast which was enough to awaken it. It was beyond adorable how it sat on the ground yawning and rubbing it's eyes as it shoveled food in it's mouth while barely awake. After breakfast I worked with Gaia and Garchomp to expand the cavern into multiple rooms that would serve different purposes once complete. The whole place was plain stone colored now but with some effort on Gaia's part a layer of white marble coated the entire place from floor to ceiling giving it a bright interior despite the small amount of light available right now.-

I didn't hesitate to take out my rune supplies and begin carefully setting up scripts for self cleaning, lighting, self repair, air purification, aura absorption and storage. It was a set of inscriptions similar to what was in the kingdom of Rota's royal castle with only minor differences. Once complete I placed my hand on the absorption part and began injecting aura into the inscription causing the entire structure to light up. The previously dim underground place lit up brightly and the very air itself started to become crisp and fresh.-

The little pixie watched all this curiously and questioned how it all worked. I gently but firmly told it that it wasn't ready to learn such things. Still with the whole place now closer to being livable I moved on to the next part of that process, plumbing. Most think plumbing is only to do with sewage but in truth it was all facets of water in a building. In this case I worked to add a functional toilet as well as running water of both hot and cold varieties.-

With runes and some creative usage of my abilities I solved this problem easily. All that was left was getting electricity going and collecting the furniture to turn the place into a proper home. Once again runes solved the first of these problems near effortlessly. Furniture on the otherhand required leaving my property. Most of my pokemon chose to stay behind when I brought this up with only Hades and the little pixie wanting to tag along though for very different reasons. In the pixie's case it was curious to see one of the cities I had told it about previously. -

I didn't mind taking it out with me as it was a good experience for it though I hadn't accounted for an unexpected guest having shown up outside my new house curiously looking at my gardens many plants. "They are a bit rare but nothing here should interest you so much, Professor Oak." I said casually after I adjusted to the sudden meeting. He was an older man with short gray hair and wrinkled face. What stood out the most however was the absolutely massive amount of aura practically billowing off him constantly. It wasn't of great quality but the quantity alone was almost enough to take a qualitative step forward if he wanted to.-

"Perhaps individually that is so but many of these plants don't naturally exist in the same space so theres much to learn just from observing how they interact in this forced cohabitation." the old man said with a smile as he looked away from the plants and at me. I scoffed when I felt his aura try to scan me and casually swatted it aside with my own power making him wince slightly. "It's rude to attempt to scan another aura master without permission you know." I said calmly. -

"You'll forgive an old man his curiosity. I've heard such fascinating things about you and couldn't help but trying to take a peek now that we meet face to face." he said with a good natured chuckle. "I understand which is the only reason you got off so lightly, a warning at most. Still you could have asked rather than attempting a scan, I have nothing to hide anymore." I said frankly. "Ah yes, your ascension. Quite the popular topic these days as many scramble to try and discover how you've done it. I admit even I am curious." he said with a nod.-

"Unless one of the other gods decide to explain it I think that knowledge is best left hidden. Besides it's not as though I am a god quite yet anyways, just on the verge of it." I said with a shrug. He sighs slightly disappointed "I can't fault you for thinking that way after all you've seen and done. That whole mess in Hoenn and then the one in Sinnoh have others also hoping you keep the secret to yourself. As a scientist I understand that knowledge is not good nor evil but as a person I agree with these people. It's not something humans should be tempted by in my opinion." he said with a serious expression.-

"In that case why are you here? You'll forgive me if I doubt you came here for mere curiosities sake." I say bluntly. "Your candor is surprisingly refreshing but you are right. I was beseeched by several figures in the league to try and convince you to leave Kanto and Johto. They cited various reasons such as the trail of corpses left in your wake and the destruction that follows to your less than cooperative position. It's hard to say no to such things even for me." he said seriously.-

"I see. Walk with me as I have some errands to run and we can speak as we go." I say calmly before heading out of my property with the pixie floating about looking at the old man curiously. "This one is much more stable than the other I received previously." Oak said offering the little pixie a treat from one of his lab coat pockets with a smile. "It's the typing this one has added, it's water instead of fire. It doesn't clash with the grass typing it has in the same way since grass and water are more similar in their nurturing natures than the destructive nature of fire. In a way this one is a successful modification while the other is a failure as a result." I said honestly.
