Instantly Luffy knocked him unconscious again, by hitting the Fish-men. He could have used his Haoshoku Haki. But if only used to knock the Fish-men unconscious, his punch would be more effective. Not wanting any accidents to happen, Luffy decided to sleep on the deck of the ship that night.
After washing his face, Luffy and Nami ate their breakfast together and not long after that an island finally came into view in the distance.
'Luffy, we have arrived. That's where Loguetown is.' Nami said.
'The City of Beginnings and Endings. The town that witnessed the end of the Pirate King and the beginning of the Pirate Era. Luffy said while looking at the island.
'Hey Luffy, After handing them over to the Navy, how about we go shopping?' Nami asked.
'Hm, alright. I happen to need some new clothes too.' Luffy said
After a while, their ship had finally reached the bustling port of Loguetown. Due to the Fish-men tied up on deck, their ship instantly became the center of attention of the people in the harbor.
After parking the ship in the harbor, Luffy and Nami got off the ship and both saw a Navy soldier walking up to them.
'Hello, are you two bounty hunters? Asked the Navy soldier
'Yes, we want to exchange their bounty.' Luffy replied
'Would you be able to contact the person in charge of this island?' Luffy asked.
'Captain Smoker?
'Shouldn't you go there yourself?' asked the Naval Officer in confusion.
Because it wasn't once or twice that the bounty hunters came to Loguetown to redeem the bounty. And they all went to the Navy base themselves to redeem them.

'You can call me Luffy.

'Then Mr. Luffy, Captain Smoker will arrive in a few minutes, please wait for him for a moment.' The Navy SEAL said
Luffy nodded and then walked away with Nami to find a place to sit. And there happened to be a Cafe located in the harbor.
10 minutes later, a group of Navy arrived at the harbor, the group of Navy was led by a fierce-looking man. Behind him was a woman wearing glasses who looked awkward and other Navy Soldiers.
The fierce-looking man was the leader of the Navy branch on this island, who was none other than Smoker who was his enemy and friend.
Meanwhile, the woman who followed him was Tashigi, a woman who had a complicated relationship with his Vice Captain Zoro.
Smoker then spoke to the Naval Officer who reported the situation at the harbor to him, he then looked at Luffy who was sitting with Nami on the terrace of the Cafe.
Smoker and Tashigi then walked towards the Cafe where Luffy and Nami were sitting.
'Is that you who defeated all those Fish-men pirates?' asked Smoker.
'What do you think?" Luffy asked back.
'Huh, you don't look like it.' He replied and then Smoker took a chair and sat across from Luffy and Nami.
'Let's get down to business, so in what form do you want the prize to be given. Cash or non-cash?' Smoker asked.
'Can you give it all in cash?' Luffy replied.
'No problem. Smoker said
Then he asked the navy soldiers standing not far away
'Have you finished counting?
'Captain Smoker, we just finished counting.' The navy soldier replied
Then he walked over to Smoker and handed him a report and then returned to his place.
Smoker then checked the report, the report was the total bounty owned by the Arlong pirates.
'It seems that one of the Arlong pirates is not on this list. What happened to him?' Smoker asked.
'I let him go'. Luffy answered honestly
'Oh?
'Do you know who was behind them?' Smoker asked.
'I know, that's why I let him go.' Luffy replied
'You have a lot of courage kid, but I hope your strength can match your courage.' Smoker said
Luffy just smiled and said nothing
Smoker didn't care about that and continued to say
'The total bounty for all of them is 33 million berry and that includes the fish-men who have bounties under 1 million.'

'No problem, I trust you won't lie to a small bounty hunter like me Captain Smoker.'
'Huh, what about that ship. Do you want to use it?'
'I won't use it and it's fine if you want to. But, you should at least add a little more money for me.'
'I'll bring it up to 40 million berry, how about it?'
'Nice doing business with you Captain Smoker.' Luffy said and then extended his hand to shake Smoker's hand.
Smoker didn't say anything but he accepted Luffy's handshake and after that stood up from his seat
'You can pick up the money later at our headquarters, after all I don't think you want to carry that much money around town do you?'
'You're quite understanding Captain Smoker, but I hope you won't surround me when I go to get the money later.' Luffy replied with a laugh
'I think that's an interesting idea.' Smoker replied and then turned around and left with Tashigi who had been silent.
After Smoker and Tashigi had gone far enough, Nami couldn't hold it in anymore and said
'Luffy, he won't do that right?
'No need to worry Nami, he's a Navy man who can be trusted.'
'Hmm, well I trust you Luffy.'
'Since our business is done, let's go to the city.' Luffy said.
'Yes.' Nami replied.
Luffy then paid for the drinks and snacks they had tasted and then walked towards the man standing guard at the harbor to ask him to guard his sailboat.
