When Little Jingshi went up to the board, all the parents in the classroom turned their attention to Ming Yutong. She suddenly realized that, amidst the silence, her interactions with Little Jingshi had been the center of focus.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Ming Yutong's face flushed slightly. She straightened her posture, trying to appear more composed.
It was just a simple "Go for it" to Little Jingshi. There was no need to make a big deal out of it.
Her face had returned to its natural color,
though her neck still felt warm. Fortunately, it was only Fu Yinxiu, sitting right next to her, who had noticed her earlier reaction.
After Little Jingshi finished, Mo Jinxi went up to the board as well.
The two of them used different methods to solve the problems, then continued to discuss and solve the problems together at the board.
Since no other students came up with new methods, the two boys weren't in a hurry to leave. They continued to work on the problems, and eventually, they had used all the methods available at their learning stage.
Their efforts received special praise from the teacher.
The teacher did not provide more complex methods, as there was no need at their current level. The methods they had demonstrated were sufficient for their learning stage.
Little Jingshi and Mo Jinxi returned to their seats happily.
Despite Mo Jinxi being a year older, they both had the playful nature of children. Mo Jingshi, having recently joined from a different educational system, felt immense pressure to catch up with his peers at Jixia Academy.
Now that he had not only caught up but even excelled, he was understandably proud and happy.
He looked towards Mo Jingsheng with a bright expression, feeling he had not disappointed his uncle.
Mo Jingsheng smiled and nodded at Mo Jinxii in approval.
Ming Yutong also gave both boys a thumbs-up. Little Jingshi was so thrilled that he seemed almost to be floating with joy.
For the latter part of the class, the teacher introduced a new activity: a game that involved both students and parents.
The teacher pulled down two whiteboards from the blackboard. Each whiteboard featured a grid filled with numerous small squares, representing a Sudoku puzzle.
The game required both the parents and children to work together to solve the Sudoku, adding a fun and interactive element to the class.
The teacher explained the rules for the game: parents and children would work together to fill in the correct numbers on the Sudoku boards.
Each team would take turns, and the first team to complete their board would win.
Children who couldn't solve the puzzles on their own could get hints from their parents.
The kids excitedly rushed to the boards with their parents, forming two teams. However, Little Jingshi's team had two extra people due to the family unit.
Ming Yutong, seeing the issue, volunteered to join Mo Jinxi's team to balance the numbers.
Mo Jingsheng smiled and made room, allowing Ming Yutong to stand between him and Mo Jinxi.
From Fu Yinxiu's perspective, the scene resembled a family of three, which did not sit well with him.
Little Jingshi was visibly upset, puffing out his cheeks as he complained to Fu Yinxiu, "Dad, it would have been great if you had went over, and left Tong Tong with us!"
"If you don't want to participate, just say so," Fu Yinxiu said coldly.
Little Jingshi huffed, "Look at the opposite side! Tong Tong and Uncle Mo look so perfect together! Aren't you just giving other men a chance?"
Fu Yinxiu's mood soured further, "Just focus on the game!"
Little Jingshi stuck out his tongue and made a face at Fu Yinxiu before running to the other team. He persuaded another parent to stay on Ming Yutong's team, ensuring that the teams were balanced.
With a mischievous grin, Little Jingshi pulled Ming Yutong away from Mo Jingsheng and positioned himself between Ming Yutong and Mo Jingsheng, effectively separating the two adults.
This left Fu Yinxiu alone on his team.
Little Jingshi made a playful face at Fu Yinxiu before ignoring him and cheerfully declared to Ming Yutong, "Tong Tong, I'm here to team up with you. Let's be all loving over here!"
Fu Yinxiu noticed that with Little Jingshi now on Mo Jingsheng's team, the setup resembled a family of four. Although he knew Mo Jingsheng had interest in Chu Zhaoyang's younger sister and that Ming Yutong and Mo Jingsheng were not romantically involved, seeing Ming Yutong with another man still irritated him.
As the game began, Fu Yinxiu glanced at the Sudoku puzzle but found his gaze drifting back to Ming Yutong and Little Jingshi, who were focused intently on solving the puzzle. They stood further back, and Ming Yutong and Mo Jingsheng leaned in to discuss their answers.
The noise and excitement from the other families, who were also discussing and encouraging each other, created a lively atmosphere.
Ming Yutong and Mo Jingsheng had to huddle closer to hear each other over the din.
With each movement closer between Ming Yutong and Mo Jingsheng, Fu Yinxiu's expression grew darker.
