Joanna Lawrence didn't know either.
But she knew that since her husband was angry, as his wife, she should try to appease him.

Joanna thought for a moment, and then told Ashton Heath the whole story of what happened last night.
"So, I really didn't know he was there. If I had known, I definitely wouldn't have gone. Ashton, you believe me, don't you? You surely wouldn't believe those reporters' nonsense, right?"
"What I said is true. I don't know why those reporters have photos and videos. I clearly deleted everything."
After Joanna finished speaking, she didn't hear Ashton's response.
So, she explained again.
