"BREGH!" Miracle vomited as he was kneeling on the ground with his head pounding, blood dripping out of his nose and ears, and his vision was starting to get a bit blurry. They have been making torture experiments all day, really pushing him to the point of almost passing out a few times.
They even put those electrocuting helmet on his head.
The tests ranged from lifting really heavy objects and holding for a long period of time. To using a wizard to test the strength of his psiconic shield and testing how many items he could hold at once heavy or light.
While behind the glass in the observing room was the devil incharge of the facility, the scientists in their complete masks, a man in a black cloak holding a staff, while there were three armed guards in the room, one of them which Miracle almost killed previously.
"The fifth phase of the test has been completed by Master Gregory." One of the scientists stated.
"Good begin the final test." The devil now revealed as Gregory commanded and looked at the mage who nodded.
The mage moved forward and began to wave his staff around causing a magic circle to appear a bit near Miracle making a big maze out of earth and a white cloth covered his eyes.
"Subject 9 it's now time for the final phase of your exercises for today just simply guide the orb through the maize till the end. If the orb touches the obstacles or any other surface in any way then you'll have to restart. Finally don't try to take off the blindfold or even peak out of it you will receive a punishment." The scientist informed Miracle.
'They can't be serious.' Miracle thought in anger.
"The least those ritualists could do is let on of those wizards heal you!" Tinashe fumed at their actions.
"It seems like the boy has a little motivation." Gregory told the scientist in a sadist tone as he saw the boy's angry face to which he nodded and so he pressed a red button.
"AAAHHH!!" Miracle screamed in pain as the high voltage electricity coursed through his body. After 40 seconds of the electrification Miracle fell to the ground with his body twitching a bit. 'Oh Ndiyapha (I'm going to kill them)."
"Oh my he seems like he needs some ." Gregory mused as he open his palm making a syringe with a red liquid inside appear on his hand through a magic circle.
"Sir, are you sure if this goes wrong we could lose one of our most capable subjects?" The scientist tried to reason, causing Gregory to glare at him with the collar, scaring him.
"Are you doubting my reason you miserable human?" He looked down at him with his red eyes glowing menacingly threatening death.
"N-n-no I-it's just."
"Enough ." Gregory spoke and instructed the guard to walk over to him which he obediently did then handed him the syringe. "Insert this into that brat and tell him that we'll stop pain once he finishes the maize."
"Yes sir." He smiled as he really wanted nothing more than to cause pain to Miracle ever since the child broke some of his bones a week ago. He entered the room and kicked him.
"Wake up punk your job isn't done ." He stated as roughly injected the needle into Miracle causing the boy to grunt in discomfort but once the liquid was inserted into his body. "You better get your head out your ass and finish that maize if you want the pain to stop punk." He chuckled as he left the room.
Miracle grunted pain as he felt an intense feeling pulse through his body and gritted his teeth as he tried to withstand it but it seemed to get worse by the second.
"Miracle I know you're in pain but please you need to focus otherwise whatever they injected you with will continue to break your body and you're not in the state to withstand it for long." Tinashe encouraged her wielder. She hated the fact there wasn't anything more she could do to assist him but moral support.
Miracle forced his body up despite all the pain he was going through and lifted the ball off the ground and began navigating the orb into the maize. When he lifted the orb he honed psychokinetic energy making a field around it which acted as a radar for him in the maize. If he felt anything enter the field he would move or manoeuvre the orb out if it's way.
He didn't have time to be going through trial and error especially with the pain of his body getting worse so he used the special technique he developed to make things easier for him.
After the ball reached the end of the maize Miracle collapsed to the ground with blood gushing out of his nose, the red veins and his vision getting rough.
The guard roughly jabbed the needle containing the cure into Miracle's neck and injected the cure with the latter couldn't help but sigh in relief as he laid on the ground as he closed his eyes.
Gregory was looking at the results with a smirk on his face as the boy was showing great results in their experiments and would be a wonderful addition to the chaos brigade. So far including subject Nine only three experiments have succeeded and though they were strong it was not enough as Lord Rizevim would expect more results.
"Heal him." He ordered the wizard who followed his command. " After he's done, take him back to his cell." He ordered.
"Yes sir." The two guards saluted.
Miracle Pov
TInashe called out to me and I opened my eyes to her pretty face looking at me worriedly.
"Glad you're back to the world of the living." She attempted to lighten the mood.
"I wouldn't call this living." I said maybe a little more than I intended as I saw her flinch a bit. It was a problem I had which people I knew and gave a damn about often pointed out. "S-Sorry about that." I apologised.
"It's alright, Miracle. I understand your frustration." She rubbed my head to smooth me out while I was working and I took a deep breath.
"I think it's time we get out of here."
"Are you sure?" She asked with relief on her face and I nodded.
"I can't take this anymore Tinashe all this abuse, tests are just too much for me to handle. To hell with wanting to get stronger and by my time I need to leave now." I sighed tiredly to make it worse this place was linked with like a global international supernatural terrorist organisation.
"While I'm happy that you've made a decision to leave this place, please tell me you have a proper plan."
"I do but there's a small problem."
"What is it?"
"It's just for this plan to work. I might no I will have to kill to escape." I put my hand onto my face and sighed heavily as I thought of what I have to do. Killing someone was something he never thought he would. The closest he came to severely hurting someone was when he had a mental breakdown in form three badly beat two of his former bullies with a brown stick.
"Miracle the Iron which endures the hottest flames comes out with the best quality. The world, be it supernatural or not, beats down and chews on the weak. You must harden yourself both mind and body to truly push forward." She finished with a soft tone causing me to chuckle. "Eh Eh are laughing at me?" She pouted and pinched my cheek a bit.
"Ayi ayi (No No). Thanks for the moral boost " He formed a small smile. It was nice to hear a random proverb, it felt nostalgic.
"Happy to help my wielder." She smiled back.
"Anyway it's time for you to go back." And with that I left my mind space.
After I was out I lightly opened my eyes and saw I was being dragged back to my cell and roughly dropped on the bed. But at least my body was healed
"Well look at that it looks like you're not tough anymore aren't you." He spoke and he spat at me but I stopped the saliva from reaching me with my powers and sent it back to his mouth causing him to cough and blinded him to his position and shut his mouth tight to prevent him from screaming.
I used my abilities to remove all the clothes he had on and helmet leaving him only in his boxers. He was a white man around his thirties, with scruffy brown hair, dark brown eyes, a beard and average build. Good thing this wasn't my first time seeing or hurting a white person otherwise I would have weird feelings on what I was about to do to him.
"Wow, a devil teleportation circle. It's been years since I've been close to one of those."said Tinashe.
"One blink for yes two blinks for no." I instructed. "Now look I'm going to let you speak but only to answer some questions I have for you do you understand?" He blinked once. When I released the hold from his throat and mouth he coughed and tried to pull a quick scream but I. In annoyance I broke four of his left fingers and good thing I closed his mouth am practically strangling his throat otherwise he would have let out an alerting scream.
"My friend, that was your first warning." he nodded with tears in his eyes. " Good now first how many devils and wizards are in this place." I was still working on my sensor abilities a bit so it was best to be a little safe. sorry.
"F-From w-what I know it's only master Gregory who is the only devil here and there fifteen wizards who work under him." Wow he folded fast I resentfully thought I would have to break more bones to get him to talk.
"Next, where are we? Realm, continent, and country?" If the thing of every mythology exists in dxd or majority of them then there must be a cluster of realms which exist as well. The guy looked at me as if I was crazy, ticking me off. "Iwa (you) can you just answer me!" I said forcefully letting some of the chewa slip out.
"Were on earth, the boss told us we were still in North America in the United states but I don't know what state we were in right now." That took me by surprise a bit as I never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up in America. I would be happy about it if the circumstances were different.
"How the hell do you not know where we are don't you travel here to do your job?"
"I don't think it's those papers they teleport us here to a special room to come in and we use them with the room to leave back to wherebwe leave."
"Where's the room?" I asked and he gave me direction and I broke his whole hand then quickly shut his mouth to shut off his screaming. "That's the second warning. You think I'm dumb I know that's the direction of the devil man's office." I glared at him.
"I-I-t is, I swear , that's where it is. P-Please let me go." He begged with heavy breaths and tears in his eyes making me feel bad but I remembered that time he used the position he had over me just to feel like a big man removed the pity.
"Final question. What year is it?"
"It's 2008."
"Thanks for the info my guy." I saluted and used my telekinesis to quickly snap his neck and watched his body fall limp to the ground. After the action was done my stomach twisted and my heart began to beat faster than vomited on the floor. "D-Damn."
"Miracle." Tinashe called out in a worried tone.
"I-I'm fine now let's get to work." I calmed myself as killing an animal was different from killing an animal was very different from killing a human but I currently didn't have time to think or feel guilty about it.
After I sat down on the bed and let out a telekinetic field similar to the exercise. I usually practised this only to the extension of my cell because I was afraid of drawing in too much attention but it was now or never so I extended it to a good portion of the lab.
Now as stated before my sensor abilities need improvement but the map which basically I focused on the route to the most successful guinea pig subject 5. I had passed his cell a good amount of times and remembered exactly which corridor they kept him. After I got a mind's eye view of the place I saw he was tied to his bed in chains and a helmet on him.
While he was the most successful with the DNA of a dragon his was still unstable. While that wasn't new here most tend to die out due to not being compatible while him along with another known as subject four were the only ones compatible.
I focused my power on the chains which were holding him and broke them but they required a lot of effort as they must have been enchanted or something and removed the helmet on his head and unlocked his door.
"How much time are you giving him till he starts rampaging?" asked Tinashe.
"Oh I-…"
BOOOMM!!
"Never mind" I mumbled in surprise as I underestimated the dragon boy's aggression. I repeated the processes and began releasing the .
I increased my range on any cell I could reach and unlocked the cells of every subject. It was a little cruel of me to use them as cover but I reasoned that they were all going to die soon due to failed comparability with the DNA splicing. The least I can do is give them a chance to get some payback on the guards, scientists and wizards who experimented on them.
It didn't take long for me to hear yelling, screaming, roaring, gunshots and explosions.I made the gun and knives float near me and placed the teleportation seal in my pocket. I took a deep breath and carefully exited the cell and it was a war zone out there.
Test subjects going feral on the guards, going crazy with their guns. I didn't have time for this and navigated through the chaos on my way to the vent I saw in the scan I did of the place. It wasn't easy. I had to avoid guards and at least 3 wizards but good thing they were busy. I have killed only three guards and one wizard so far.
I found the ventilaton shaft and floated over ripping it open and floated inside. I know this wasn't hard and there was a chance I wanted to support my weight for too long so I gently floated through the ventilation system thanks to my small body. I reactivated my radar to know which path to take to make it to the teleportation room.
After arriving, I slightly peaked outside and saw a guard just outside the ventilation shaft. So I gently laid down and quickly used my sacred gear on the vent making it heavier dropping it on the unsuspecting guard's head knocking him down.
I was surrounded by five guards surrounding me filling me with bad memories and they already had guns pointed at me about to shot but I quickly took their guns away and turned them owners.
I was close to the teleportation room so I ran towards my destination but I noticed someone was following me so I used my powers to push them to the wall. And saw it was another subject and in fact one of the three successes besides me and the dragon boy. Subject Six.
She was a white with fair skin, I couldn't tell how old she was because I wasn't so good with age but I guess she was nine since she was taller than me, orange hair with green highlights at the tip, and striking green eyes.
"Why the hell are you following me." I glared down at her as she struggled with the hold and I had to admit I was also struggling to keep her down. I was starting think she didn't speak English or know how to communicate at all
"Runaway..." She answered.
"Hm?" I looked down at her with a raised brow.
"Run… Want to run from a bad place… Don't know where to go… I know you know where to go so I follow… Please help… Please don't leave me here." She begged while stumbling on her words and tears streaming from her eyes.
"Man." I scratched the back of my head unsure of what to do.
"If you're considering taking her along then ask what she can provide for this escape. We don't want anyone slowing you down." stated Tinashe.
"So what can you do?" I asked.
"There's two of them over there." I heard one yell and I saw a wizard along with two guards. "Careful these two are th-AAHHH!!" He screamed in fright, roots came from the ground and dragged them all underground and each hole where one was dragged sprouted out blood.
I looked at her in surprise and she just smiled innocently. I didn't know whether that was cute or disturbing but I shouldn't judge as I had blood on my hand now too.
"A-Alright watch me and I'll watch you." I accepted and her smile brightened and nodded and we ran to the teleportation room.
When we ran into trouble we would take care or if I was busy taking care of something she would. Still don't know how she was able to summon roots from the ground. Before we made the turn to the corridor of the destination room, Six grabbed my shoulders stopping me and I looked behind her to know what was wrong.
"Bad man… There." She spoke with both fright and hatred in her voice.
"Bad man?" I raised my eyebrow and she nodded. I took a peek at the next hallway and saw it was destroyed, and the devil standing there but his expensive suit was ruined. 'Oh that bad man.' I sighed as there went my somewhat easy way out but at least he was distracted with his opponent which was Four who was on the floor breathing heavily but doesn't seem to have taken as much damage.
He looked some age of Six with short blonde hair, red eyes, and his skin was covered in scales.
Now that he was distracted I twisted making them sharper on the edges ready to throw them.
"You honestly thought you could kill me child don't make me laugh you ignorant child. You might have dragon DNA in you but you are still just an inexperienced child." The said smugly at four who growled at him.
"I'm going to kill you for what you did to Juliet and Mrs. Sandra." Subject Four spoke in rage and I was surprised he could speak in proper sentences but I didn't have time for as I threw the sharp metal rods with high velocity.
"Fool y-…" He didn't finish his sentence as the three sharp metal rods penetrated his body (pause).
"W-What…" He said in surprise as he looked behind but big roots coming from the ground began wiping him badly. When she was done the devil was on the ground and his blood was all over the floor and walls. I dropped the ceiling on him just to be safe.
It's going to take a bit to recover from all this.
"Feel any little better." I asked her and she continued to glare at him.
"I want… Hurt him more… Took mama and papa away." She spoke with so much hatred in her voice. I don't blame her as I wanted to make him suffer too but I needed to leave fast before things went wrong.
"Well, continue beating him down or leave. It's your choice." I walked and she followed making our way past the badly bleeding devil and Four.
"Why did you do that? I wanted to be the one to kill him!" He yelled at us with his red eyes burning in fury as red lightning streaked from them and I gave him a deadpan look. "Hey don't ignore me…" I touched his shoulder activating my scared gear making fall to the ground with the extra Gs on him sending him to the floor and went along.
Suddenly a burst of power erupted from the rubble I buried the devil in and I put a shield around all of us. He was surrounded in a purple aura as he snarled at us with his body bleeding badly, holes in it and face slightly messed up. It really made a gruesome sight.
"YOU LITTLE PIECES OF SHIT AFTER I PICK YOU ALL FROM THE STREET! GAVE YOU POWER AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE OUR CAUSE THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!!" He yelled in extreme rage as his purple aura pushed us back. "WELL I REFUSE TO LET MYSELF DIE BY SUCH A LOWER SPECIES!!" He body began to bloat.
"SHIT!" I quickly put a shield as the devil denoted himself causing a massive explosion.
In the aftermath
"Dammit." I mumbled as I got out of the wreckage shaking my head. My shield didn't fully protect me as my head was bleeding, my skin slightly burned, and my clothes also took damage.
I looked around and saw the devastating effects the attack had on the facility but looking ahead I saw that I was surrounded by a forest area. This led me to curse under my breath as the plan just to teleport to civilization was gone and now I have to navigate in a forest god knows where in the US.
"Guess I should properly learn how to fly should be your top task now." spoke Tinashe.
'Tell me about it.' I needed to find out of here fast. The closest thing I came to living in a forest of visiting some family members in the village and I could only stand being there for two weeks max.
"Ow." I heard a familiar voice moan in pain just beside me and I saw Six getting up. I remembered I also put a shield around her protecting her from the blast but she took as much damage as me. "I'm outside… It's Been so long." She spoke in awe as she looked around at the forest.
"Yes we are outside. You're free now." I rubbed my head as I thought on how I should proceed from now and I felt her tagging my arm. "What's wrong?" I asked her and she pointed and led me towards something or someone. It was four and he was still breathing. I'm sure I didn't shield him but I guess that dragon DNA gave him a boost in durability but the scales weren't on him anymore.
"Still alive… What should we do?"
"Mavuto mavuto (Trouble but in this context "So many problems")." I rubbed my eyes tiredly.

Hey sorry it took a while to update this story it's just I've been busy with school and what not and also I've been reading the dxd light novels because I heard the anime was not close with the source material when it came to season 3. I won't lie I get lazy to read it sometimes but I'll do my best to read through a good number of it.
Also I know the major complaint my stories have is how canon characters or stories aren't that involved so I wanted to at least make a good number of canon characters more involved with this one. Now it's still an AU but I don't want to make it too different.
