Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 87 - First Mission
John silenced the room with his booming voice ,"SHUT IT AND SIT DOWN!!!" He lowered his voice then and said ,"Hooligans, all of you." ,"Brandon, Katie, this guy's strong, so I'd like you to bring him on a minor mission so that he can get a feel for this group and for our missions." ,""YES SIR!!!" They both said in unison, they both walked up to Apollo and grabbed him by the arms and dragged him away ,"WAIT, WHAT'S HAPPENING!" ,"I thought I told you, it's a mission," (WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PLACE!!!) Apollo thought with his mouth wide open.
They chucked him into a ship as he yelled at them ,"WHERE ARE WE GOING!!!" ,"On a mission obviously," ,"What's your problem?" Apollo knew it'd be crazy to be in the military but this was way off from what he was expecting. Katie turned on the ship and they floated off the ground, in an instant Apollo felt his body convulse ,"We're here." Apollo still lay on the ground, wondering what was happening. Brandon brought out his hand and pulled Apollo to his feet ,"Time for the mission." Apollo walked out of the ship after gaining back his balance ,"Woah…"
It was a planet with red grass, the skies were a dark hue of yellow and the air was heavy. The gravity felt greater on this planet. ,"It's a good thing most minor missions have planets with oxygen, a lot of the missions we're sent on don't have it, that's why we have to transmute our own via our energy." Apollo nodded ,"So you're saying I'll be able to 'breathe in space'?" ,"Eventually, but right now we're gonna focus on some training first." Apollo looked and smiled ,"I like training," ,"We all do, how do you think we got to this point," Katie replied. ,"Good point," Apollo replied ,"So what are we doing here anyways?" Brandon looked into the distance ,"You see those giant fuckers?" ,"Yeah…" ,"We're gonna kill those."
The "Creatures" walked on four legs and looked like humongous bulls ,"What in the hell," Apollo said. Brandon turned to him ,"You get used to it, you're gonna take them on by yourself since this is your first mission," ,"Alright then." Apollo walked over to them, they looked down at him, and their auras swelled ,"RAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" Apollo stood there and looked at them ,"That's it?" He didn't even release his aura and he punched BAM KABOOM. The sheer wind pressure hit the first one so hard it vaporized, the molecular bonds were just too weak.
The others stopped running at him and started to run away, but Apollo appeared right in front of them BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM. Brandon said ,"Nice, now we can go." Not impressed in the slightest, Apollo said ,"That's it?" ,"That's it," Katie replied ,"It's supposed to be on the 'harder' side of our easier missions but it seems you're pretty strong for a new recruit." (What does that mean?) Apollo thought. They all got back into the ship and flew back to Earth's atmosphere VDOOSH. Brandon started to talk ,"Side note, when you complete a mission sometimes they need video data and stuff like that. Right now we're going to the area where we cash in on the mission and turn that data in." Apollo looked confused ,"Did you get a video?" ,"Of course, while you were doing it I snapped it on my phone." He then pulled out his phone and showed the start of the video ,"Oh…"
Once they got to the desk, the lady at the counter noticed who they were ,"Brandon, Katie, nice to see you and … I haven't seen you before, are you new?" ,"Yeah, I joined today and apparently went on my first mission." ,"I see that, well congratulations, my name is Glinda Worfik and I work at the Mission Completion Rewards Sector, as your group's direct advisor for all missions. Today, you just earned 1000 Legrun, a sort of universal currency used as a balance for everyone outside of this planetary sector. You can use this money as you please." Apollo had never received money for defeating someone before, nonetheless this easily. He thought to himself (I'M GONNA BE RICH).
