"Is there a reason you spared their god, supreme ruler?"
Atticus turned towards Oberon as he asked. The others fixed their eyes on him. From the inquisitive stares, it was obvious they all wondered the same.
It was very unlike Atticus to spare an enemy, especially one who tried to kill him.
"He's useful." Was all Atticus said. Though they were his closest aides, Atticus still wanted to keep the revival a secret.
The only people present who knew were Whisker and Ozeroth. Not even Magnus knew that he planned on reviving his wife.
Though it pained him, he had chosen to keep the fact from Magnus too. The last thing he wanted was the man getting desperate and doing something that would get him killed.
No one asked anything after that. It was clear Atticus didn't want to give details, and none amongst the Eldorians dared to press. Ozeroth and Whisker already had an inkling of why he spared the god, so they kept silent.
