For a moment, Hiro couldn't even bring himself to leave the bed. He remained there hugging the bed, lost in the warm embrace.
Then he reached out to his phone.
Half-asleep, he turned on his phone. The screen flashed.
"What's this?" Hiro blurted in awe.
The sight before him shocked him. The sheer number of notifications hovering on the screen overwhelmed him.
Hundreds. No thousands of messages, mentions, tags, and calls filled his screen. His social media apps were exploding, each one flooded beyond recognition.
Even the screen lagged just trying to process.
Hiro blinked, attempting to process the information before him. Then he rubbed his eyes in disbelief. However, the content on the screen didn't change.
Was it really not a dream?
His hands trembled as he scrolled through the messages.
The first ones were from his childhood friends back home in Japan.
