Somewhere in another country;
Mr. Knight stood there as he stared at his friend in shock.
" So she ran away with the baby?"
Kang yi stared at his friend.
" Why wouldn't she?"
" She had no right, and I wasn't even at fault. She never told me she was married."Mr. Knight replied.
"So is it a girl or a boy?"
Chuo Kang Yi stared at his anxious friend.
" Well, she gave birth to a girl, and she resembles your mother nothing like that woman."
Mr. Knight tried to talk but was too emotional to do so.
" Calm down."
He nodded at his friend who was as annoying as ever.
" So, you mean to say I have a daughter?"
When Kang Yi heard the question, he rolled his eyes at his friend but still nodded.
" How dare she, I lost more than twenty years with my child."
Kang Yi stared at his friend as he let him vent.
" So who is she?'
"You've already met her."
He stared at Kang Yi confused.
"Celestina Fayre Costa."
He stared at his friend in shock.
" Her?"
Kang yi smiled at his friend.
Knight thought to himself, no wonder he felt a sense of familiarity to the girl. She's, his daughter.
" She was right in front of me, but I couldn't even recognize her."
Knight muttered to himself; the self-blame could be heard in his tone.
"Calm down Knight, you didn't know."
He knew that but he still.
" So how was she like?"
"Well, she didn't have it easy while growing up but she's a fighter."
"Explain."
Mr. Knight said through clenched teeth as his eyes held bone chilling coldness.
"Well let's just say she hardly received any good environment foe growing up but thsat didn't change her character but made her who she is today."
Pain flashed through his eyes as he listened to his friend.
"I lost more than a decade."
"it'll be fine my friend."

"Now let's welcome Celestina Fayre Costa to give the valedictory speech."
I couldn't believe that I was a doctor now. As I got unto the stage, I looked and found him in the crowd, Zavid. I noticed him walking towards the grounds of the event, my heart raced, fluttered with every step he took. He stopped in front of me and placed his hand on my waist. Gasps filled the grounds but my head was in the clouds. I snapped back at the call of th dean. I nodded at the dean and took the nic from him to deliver my speech.
"Good morning, [distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, friends, and fellow graduates].
It is an incredible honor to stand before you today as the valedictorian of this remarkable graduating class. As I look out at all of you, I am filled with gratitude, pride, and excitement—not just for what we have accomplished, but for what lies ahead.
Today marks the culmination of years of hard work, sleepless nights, and countless moments of doubt and determination. For me, graduating with first-class honors in surgical and medical skills is not just a personal achievement—it is a testament to the resilience, guidance, and support I have received along the way.
When I first stepped into this institution, the weight of what we were about to learn felt immense. Medicine and surgery are not just professions—they are callings. They demand precision, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to excellence. Every stitch, every diagnosis, every moment in the operating room has reinforced this truth: we are entrusted with the most sacred responsibility—to heal, to restore, and to give hope.
But this journey was not mine alone. It was forged with the support of incredible professors who pushed us to think critically, who transformed our mistakes into teachable moments, and who reminded us that medicine is both an art and a science. To our mentors, thank you for your wisdom, your patience, and your belief in our potential.
To my family and friends—thank you for being my rock. Your love and encouragement carried me through the most challenging days.
To my fellow graduates, we have shared this journey together. We shared late-night study sessions, celebrated each other's successes, and leaned on one another during moments of uncertainty. Today, we are not just graduates—we are a family of healers, united by a shared purpose.
As we leave this ceremony and step into the world, I want us to remember that the first-class honors and degrees we hold are not just accolades; they are tools. Tools to serve, tools to innovate, tools to save lives.
There will be days ahead when the weight of our responsibilities feels heavy—when the diagnosis is unclear, the surgery is complex, or the stakes are impossibly high. But I urge you to remember why we chose this path. Remember the lives that will be touched by our hands, the families that will find solace in our care, and the legacy we will leave behind as compassionate, skillful doctors and surgeons.
Today is not just an ending—it is a beginning. A beginning of careers that will shape the future of medicine and transform the lives of countless individuals. As we walk across this stage, let us carry with us the values that have been instilled in us: integrity, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
So, let us go forth with courage and conviction, knowing that we have been equipped with the skills to make a difference. Let us embrace the challenges ahead, knowing that we are not just doctors and surgeons—we are healers, innovators, and changemakers.
To the Class of 2025, congratulations! This is our moment to shine, to lead, and to heal the world. Thank you."
Immediately I ended my speech a round of applause to filled the atmosphere as sounds of joy was heard. I noticed the dean engaged in a conversation with Zavid.
" Celeste I still can't believe we've made it this far."
Seraphina said happily as we all shard a hug and the tone filled with reminiscing emotions. It wasn't easy for any of us. Each girl had their share of issues that was emotionally draining but we made it this far, to the finish line I thought to myself proudly.
I noticed Zavid working in my direction thinking to myself you're going to be the headlines tomorrow, but I was ready to take this gamble.
" Your Prince charming is coming our way" Clementina said whilst wriggling her browns.
I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks. When he was close enough they pushed me and I tumbled into his arms as he caught me
" this crazy girls" I thought whildt giving them a stink eye
" no need to thank us"
" you okay"
I could feel the worry in his voice
" yeah"
I spoke breathlessly. I don't know how but he makes me feel things and know I'm not falling in love or am I ?
" let's go somewhere more private"
I nodded when I looked around and saw the crowd
" Where to?"
" it's a surprise"
Then we walked to his car
"My lady"
I giggled at his words and got into the car as he got into the driver seat and drove away
My phone beeped and I checked 'remember what I taught you ok . Clementina :)
my face good pass for strawberry at the moment
"You alright "
"yeah"
"I'm fine"
thinking to myself what's crazy friends I have, funny enough i wouldn't trade them for the world.
I smiled at Zavid as he gave me a kiss on the head and continued driving.
I hear go things don't last and are not forever but I'm willing to take my chances, cuz what's life workout risks.
