The explosion consumed his body and expanded like a supernova but the five archangels held the perimeter, straining every fiber of their power to contain the blast.
Masahiko and Akemi spat out blood as their guardian angels kept reinforcing the barrier. Masayoshi's flames flickered dangerously close to burning out, while Renata's emerald brambles turned brittle and charred against the blinding core as their reincarnations struggled to maintain their forms.
Even with Fortuna and Fate anchoring the seams, the sheer concussive pressure rattled the sky to its foundations. It took everything they had just to keep the heat from destroying their planet and the rest of their solar system from the epicenter of that cosmic grave.
