Yukihina PoV
I patted the heads if Botanyuki and Kohakuyuki. The quake had been minimal, but it still startled them. They had been in bed when the tremble occurred. They were still kids, and I didn't want them to be afraid.
"Everything is fine," I assured them. "We are safe here. The ground just shook a little. It does that sometimes."
Botanyuki frowned, her purple eyes full of doubt. "But why? Is it an earthquake?"
I smiled. "Sort of. It's a sign that something big is about to happen. But don't worry. Your daddy and mommy will take care of it."
Kohakuyuki yawned. "Can we go back to sleep?"
"Of course. It's still early." I kissed their foreheads and tucked them in.
They closed their eyes and soon drifted off again. I sighed and left their room.
I went to check on my oldest. He was staring outside of his window. His eyes were narrowed, his brows furrowed.
"Fuyune?" I called out.
He turned and glanced at me. "Mother. Is everything okay?"
