I watched as Reginald knelt next to the coffee table, his face lighting up with a broad smile as he interacted with the little creature before him. The dark chocolate puppy, with her bright reddish-brown eyes, wiggled excitedly. Reginald gently held her tiny front paws, his affection palpable.
"Who's a good girl? You're such a sweet little nugget!" he cooed in a playful puppy voice, leaning closer to her. "Yes, you are! Yes, you are, Selena!"
I chuckled softly, unable to contain my amusement at the sight. Reginald was completely entranced, speaking to her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. "Oh, look at that tail go! Are you trying to fly away, little Selena? You're too cute to be anything but a star!"
She yipped, her little red angel wings sprouting out of her back. She flapped them, but she was still too small to fly.
