Rose PoV
After we finished our delicious meal, I settled back down with Anis, ready to dive into more educational books. I picked out a few favorites, hoping to keep her engaged while her tummy digested the food. She was full from her burger, her little belly rounded and content, and every so often, she let out a soft burp, accompanied by a giggle as she covered her mouth with her tiny hands.
"Excuse you!" I teased, raising an eyebrow in mock seriousness, which only made her laugh more.
"Me sorry, Mama!" Anis replied, her cheeks flushing with delight.
I patted her on the back. "It's okay. Burping is natural."
Sil chuckled. "I can do it at will. Wanna see?" He let out a loud belch, drawing laughs from everyone, including Saffron and my father.
Saffron shook his head at his little brother.
Alli chuckled. "Sil, don't do that when you meet Kiki's mom, okay?"
Sil gasped and looked down, embarrassed. Alli had hit a frail point with that comment.
