Rose PoV
I led Saffron back inside. While using his full angel equip didn't seem to have any side effects like Second Heaven did, I still wanted to make sure he was going to be okay.
Saffron stared at our daughter as he held her in his arms. Anis happily babbled on about an Pingui, gesturing excitedly. Saffron nodded along, his attention fully absorbed in her story, his usually steely eyes were full of warmth.
Anis giggled as she shook her plushie.
"Wow, Pingui went to the moon?"
"Pingui moo!" Anis said, smiling.
I giggled. I wanted to ask if Pingui was a penguin or a cow, but I held back. It felt a bit mean. I didn't want her to feel like I was making fun of how she talked. She was just a baby.
Saffron chuckled softly, the sound a gentle rumble that seemed to resonate in the quiet kitchen. He lifted Anis slightly, bringing her closer as if to share a secret. "Did Pingui meet any moon creatures on the way?" he asked, his voice full of playful intrigue.
