Anis beamed and moved her little arms up and down as if cheering as she ate her breakfast. Watching her tiny hands grasp the spoon with determination brought a smile to my face. Her enthusiasm for even the simplest of things was infectious, and I treasured these precious moments.
"You're doing such a good job, Anis," I encouraged, leaning closer to wipe a bit of oatmeal from her cheek. Her bright eyes met mine, and she giggled, clearly delighted by the attention.
Saffron entered the kitchen, his presence filling the room with warmth. He had showered and dressed, looking refreshed and ready for the day. "Someone's in a good mood," he remarked, nodding toward Anis with a fond smile.
"She is," I replied, turning to look at him with a grin. "And she's getting better with the spoon every day."
He chuckled, moving to stand beside me as he watched our daughter with pride. "She's growing up fast," he said, looking at her with doting eyes.
